About GrantParty

GrantParty is grant writing software for small nonprofits, and contract search and proposal writing software for small government contractors. It is made by Capstone Tech.

Updated October 6, 2026

What it does

  • Finds open grants an organization is eligible for and gives the reason each one fits, with the grants it left out and why.
  • Lists the funders that paid nonprofits like yours, with how many they funded, the typical grant and the latest year, from IRS records. The funder finder does this free, without an account.
  • Drafts the full application from the funder's own instructions: every section, the budget and the supporting documents, checked against each requirement and scored the way a reviewer would.
  • Tracks awards after they are won: spending, compliance items, report due dates and outcomes.
  • For contractors, reads every open SAM.gov notice for a company's NAICS codes each day, checks set-asides against its certifications, and drafts proposals from the solicitation's documents.

Where the data comes from

  • From 9.7 million grants that 172,144 funders reported to the IRS for 2022 to 2025. These are the grants foundations and charities report on IRS Form 990 Schedule I and Form 990-PF.
  • The IRS Business Master File for each nonprofit's name, location, cause code (NTEE) and tax status.
  • Grants.gov for federal opportunities, refreshed every 6 hours, plus a catalog of foundation, state and local grant programs.
  • SAM.gov's full daily file of open federal contract notices, and state and county bid pages for contractors.

What it will not do

The grant writer does not invent partners, statistics, outcomes or facts about your organization. It writes from your profile, your documents and your answers, cites any figure it looks up, and leaves a labeled blank for anything it does not know. It does not submit applications for you; you submit through the funder's portal.

Who it is for

Small nonprofits without a full-time grant writer, small businesses bidding on government work, and grant consultants who manage several client organizations.
